Who qualifies to receive the DWP Child Benefit Payments 2024?
The UK people who meet the following eligibility requirements qualify to receive the DWP Child Benefits 2024:
- You are responsible for raising or caring for a child under 16, you can also apply for children under 20 if they stayed in approved training or education.
- You live in the UK and you are responsible for them if you do the following:
- The child lives with you and the amount you pay for their basic needs, like food, shelter, etc. is at least the same as the Child’s benefits.
- You can receive child benefits for fostering a child when the local council is not paying for their accommodation or others.

When will you receive your next payment of DWP Child benefit?
The child benefit recipients will receive the payment in their bank or building society account on the fourth week either on Mondays or Tuesdays. However, if the payment dates clash with a bank holiday the dates will shift to business days.
The recent payment was made on 5 June 2024 to some recipients due to a technical issue in processing the payments, so the recipients can expect the payment on the usual fourth week after the previous payment.
However, Northern Ireland recipients with a child benefit due date of 15 July 2024 will receive the payment on 16 July 2024 due to a bank holiday on the due date.
