The SSA has officially released the schedule for SSI and Social Security for the year 2026. If you are a beneficiary of SSI or any Social Security benefit, you can rest assured that your payment will follow the same schedule in 2026 as in 2025.
In 2026, SSI is going to be received on every 1st of the month. If the payment date is a holiday or Saturday or Sunday, then in this situation you will receive the payment on the last working day of the previous month. And the social security will be received on Wednesday of the month.
The Supplemental Security Income and all other social security benefit payouts will increase by 2.8% beginning in January 2026. For your convenience, we have provided the month-wise payment dates of all payments received by the SSA below.

Note: If you are among the beneficiaries who were receiving the social security benefit before May 1997 or if you are receiving both Social Security and SSI, then you will get the SSI as per schedule, but the social security will be received on the 3rd of each month, and in case of a holiday, Saturday, or Sunday, it will be received earlier. If you receive your payment through direct delivery from the SSA, your payment will be credited to your bank account within a few hours; and in the case of a paper check, it may take up to a week to get delivered. If you belong to a remote area, you may have to wait for 10 days.
In the event of a technical error, SSI, or social security direct deposits, can take up to 72 hours to be received, and paper checks for the same can be delayed up to 2 to 3 weeks due to workload issues.
If you don’t receive your payment even after waiting for a sufficient period of time, it is better for you to get in touch with the Social Security Administration or go to the nearest SSA office and find out why you have not received your payment yet.
